Subaiou zhang, violin

Subaiou Zhang was born in China, and came to the US to study the biological sciences. Instead of going to medical school as planned, Subaiou resumed her violin studies in 2012 and started to pursue music professionally. Subaiou entered Boston University’s School of Music to pursue a Master of Music in the fall of 2013, and won the annual Bach Competition at Boston University in 2015.

Subaiou is currently pursuing a D. M. A. in violin performance at BU with Professor Yuri Mazurkevich. Subaiou performs actively in the Boston area, including recent solo appearances with the Wellesley Symphony in 2016 and the Brookline Symphony in 2017.
